We help teams generate insights, ideas and turn them into opportunities for growth by using a proven systemic innovation process. We help strengthen and extend today's business – while harnessing the disruptive innovations of tomorrow.

We believe that organisations need to engage employees and build a robust innovation capability that lasts for decades to create innovation success. We help develop the talent, culture, and systems to make innovation repeatable and reliable.

Realisation is a critical phase in the innovation process where we commercialise and bring new ideas to market through a process of rapid experimentation. Here we aim to bring the solution to life. We help you figure out how to get your idea to market and how to maximize its impact in the world.

Business and operating model strategic services help businesses make the best decisions utilizing known strategic priorities while finding efficiencies within an agile business operating model positioning them for growth. We help take an opportunity and make it real by defining the customer, value proposition, revenue model and value chain.

At the core of our services is the concept of human centred design. Human centred design thinking underlies African Ideas philosophy of finding African Solutions for African problems.  Embracing human-centered design means believing that all problems even the seemingly intractable ones like poverty, gender equality, and clean water, are solvable. Moreover, it means believing that the people who face those problems every day are the ones who hold the key to their answer. Human-centered design offers problem solvers of a chance to design with communities, to deeply understand the people they’re looking to serve, to dream up scores of ideas, and to create innovative new solutions rooted in people’s actual needs.

A core focus of African Ideas work is the evolution towards smart cities and intelligent infrastructure. We also focus on the data and information that is being generated by citizens, and how citizens are are building their own powerful platforms - generating some data, taking other data from multiple places, mashing this together, analysing this and drawing conclusions - without government or big business. And now this connected technology is entering the home.

LICT is a division of African Ideas focusing on the public sector business in the inland region of South Africa viz. Gauteng, Free State, Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga. LICT was born out of a collaboration between several individuals who recognise the important role that ICT can play in terms of economic growth, social inclusion and government efficiency. These individuals had collaborated on projects in the past and had come to believe that combining their capabilities and strengths would result in a far more extensive and comprehensive service offering adding substantially more value to our customers.

As a result, LICT (Pty) Ltd,a 100% back owned company, was created as a collaboration between Nirvesh Sooful (representing African Ideas), Presto Fakude and Motsamai Nduna. LICT forms part of the African Ideas Consulting Services business unit.

Presto Fakude has over 20 year’s corporate business and over 10 years self-employed business entrepreneur and consulting experience.

He has broad spectrum skills from industrial engineering, retail fabric technology, marketing, international benchmarking of companies, strategy formulation and programme management of large and complex business turnaround implementation strategies. He spent the last 10 years as an entrepreneur – mobile asset management technology, commercialisation of a biometric innovation, consulting in organisational turnaround implementations programmes, coal logistics management, as well as broadband strategy formulation and implementation.

This division operates at the intersection of business and digital technology. Because digital technology is transforming every organization, you need technology-enabled strategy to take advantage of the opportunities. Whether it's business strategy, technology strategy or operations strategy, we drive value, shape new businesses and design operating models for the future.

We are a strategy and innovation company focused on Africa. Our services focus on strategic planning, research and disruptive innovation especially related to the impact of digitisation across society.
